The usual VW suspects
- Water pump and thermostat housing. On many 1.8T and 2.0T engines these are plastic and prone to slow coolant leaks. Watch for a sweet smell or a dropping coolant level.
- Timing chain tensioners. Some earlier 2.0 TSI/TFSI engines are known for tensioner failure. A rattle at startup means call us.
- Ignition coils and plugs. Misfires and a flashing check-engine light are often coils, especially on tuned cars.
- DSG service. Dual-clutch transmissions need their fluid and filter changed on schedule to stay smooth.
- Carbon buildup. Direct-injection engines can need intake valve cleaning over time.
GTI and Golf R owners
VW performance cars are popular to modify. If you're adding power, or already have, we can handle performance upgrades and tuning along with the supporting maintenance: plugs, coils, intercooler piping and brakes.
TDI diesels
Still driving a TDI? Diesels have their own needs, including the correct oil spec, fuel filters and, on later models, the diesel exhaust fluid system. Call with your model year and we'll go over what's due.
