From an Audi owner
“My Audi air conditioner broke overnight. He was familiar with my Audi and the problem. He had my car fixed in a matter of hours… He saved me money compared to dealership prices… My a/c is crispy cool again.”— Bunny, Google review
Audi issues worth knowing about
- Carbon buildup (TFSI). Direct-injection engines can build up carbon on the intake valves, causing rough idle, misfires and lost power. Cleaning the valves restores it.
- Timing chain tensioners. Some 2.0T engines are known for tensioner and chain-guide wear. A cold-start rattle is the warning sign.
- Water pump and thermostat housing. Plastic housings can leak coolant, often slowly and out of sight.
- PCV / oil separator. A failed valve can cause whistling, rough idle, oil consumption and lean codes.
- S tronic and quattro. Dual-clutch and quattro drivetrains need their fluids serviced on schedule to stay smooth.
- A/C. On the Gulf Coast, Audi climate systems work most of the year. Weak cooling should be looked at quickly.
Diagnosis before parts
Audis share a lot of engineering with Volkswagen, Porsche and Lamborghini, and their faults often have more than one possible cause. We test before replacing parts, so you only pay to fix what's actually wrong.
